Hello everyone and welcome to Raju Dyapur’s art website an artist from India, Bangalore (Bengaluru).
He is a self taught artist. Before he started his career as an artist, he was in IT (Information Technology) world for many years. His previous profession allowed me to live and work in many countries (North America, Europe, Middle East etc.). He was involved in drawing and painting since young age but never got the chance to pursue the same.
He practiced drawing and painting in school and even took several courses, Participated and won many drawing and painting competitions. It was such an achievement those days. As my studies approached university, the importance was driven to either becoming an engineer or a doctor. That was the time when the priorities changed. He seldom drew and painted, which remained as one of the hobbies.
As he traveled and visited beautiful places and many galleries, his interest towards painting has made him to pursue fine art as full-time career. It has taken a lot of dedication to practice and to hone the required skills, which will continue for the rest of my career.
As far as inspiration, he is more touched by the works of Ivan Aivazovsky, Viktor Vasnetsov, Claude Monet and Van Gogh. He has visited most of the Russian and European galleries to understand the history of many famous artists and to fulfill my eyes with the mesmerizing paintings.
Before engaging himself as a full-time artist, Photography was his part-time hobby, which led me to take some wonderful projects for food magazines. He still enjoys travel photography.
He enjoys nature and most of his paintings depict the same. Different types of landscapes bring out different environment, mood, interest in his paintings. Although he likes other mediums, he uses oil the most. Just like being in any other profession, everyday is a new learning.
His studio and the private gallery is situated in Bengaluru (India), which is also known as “Garden City” and “Silicon Valley” of India.
His experience in drawing/fine art comes from his learning in school and college and the training he got from private lessons in Russia. His strong demonstration in learning and dedication has lead to teaching.
Just before he changed his career as full time teaching in Fine Art and Vedic Mathematics, he returned back to India in 2014. He has conducted workshops in other countries for more than 6 years and he has been conducting workshops in India since 2014.
His students range from different backgrounds including children, working professionals, Fashion Designers, Interior Designers, movie editors, 3D designers etc.
One of the goals through these classes is to bring out one’s imagination and creativity into colorful drawings/painting(s) and above all gives me an opportunity to learn more.
